After Coldseal totally screwed up our windows we decided
to go with a more trusty partner for the job. My neighbours
said Anglian have been around for years but can be a little
pricey.
Well after three weeks of work I am delighted to say we now
have a new set or windows and doors and construction work
on the edging after the cock ups from Coldseal. We were so
impressed by Anglian we also booked them to construct a conservatory
on the south side of our home.
Before settling with Anglian we had quotes ranging from under
£10k to over £30k for the conservatory we hd planned.
Of course for £30,000 their proposal's were exceedingly
nice, but we were not in the market for something of that
price.
Anglian were priced somewhere in the middle, we chose Pilkington
K glass with a tinted glass roof to try and stop the conservatory
getting too hot and stuffy in the summer. A friend of ours
recommended that even with this we probably require an air
conditioning unit for the really hot summer days.
One point lacking from most of the sales representative sent
out was the lack of planning permission or building regulations
information they knew or provided. They were proposing all
these great conservatories, but were not informing us how
the local county council would react to it. Even Anglian were
not great in this respect, all of the eight companies we had
were poor. I think these companies really need to train their
staff properly.
Overall I have found Anglian to be a reputable and reliable
building firm.
