I am a foreign student, and to call my parents and family three times per week I use my alpha card. It’s the best way to help save money and save time on connection. It was recommended by the student representative at my university, because it's very important for me to keep in touch with my family. I did find some companies who offered foreign calling cards, but they either had a contract or the price was too costly. My “Alpha card” is without doubt the best one I have ever used.

I have used their calling card and they are crap, total rubbish. Firstly the quality of the line is awful, and their customer services has a queue longer than my local McDonald's. Do not join, find another long distance carrier like First Call for your calling card. I also use NTL for my national calls.

I have used their service for long time. The quality of the line has recently improved and they have just renewed the website. Now it is much more friendly! Look at their call charge to India: 4.50 p is amazing! …and it works!

I have been with Alpha Telecom for 5 years now never had a problem but off lately have been experiencing problems call the customer care and they are useless so are the supervisors as have been waiting for a call for 3 days now. I would say their customer service is rubbish and ridiculous as there staff do not even know where some places in the world are, like Nairobi is in South Africa. Am thinking of closing my account and signing up with another operator as am sure will be better in handling complaints.

I first read about Alpha Telecom in an advert in the London Evening
Standard. Their call charge to India was so much lower than BT's, which
is extortionate. Joining up with Alpha Telecom was easy, I simply visited
their web site at www.alphatelecom.co.uk and filled out their application
form. The fields were the typical ones found in any online payment form,
it had payment type, password, personal details etc. The pack came about
2 weeks (which seems a standard time limit with most telecom companies)
later with several leaflets. You are then given an account number with
a chosen pin, and you can then simply start dialing international numbers
at a much lower charge. It is that easy.
