I have registered and hosted two domain with 123-reg, it cost £5 to register a co.uk domain and only £1.50 a month to host it. I very much doubt you will save more than this with any other company. The control panel is superb with near total control of your domain, you can transfer domains to 123-Reg, and view all your pending transfers. When a domain name is within your account you can begin web forwarding, e-mail forwarding, manage your DNS data, change nameservers to move to a new web host, change IPS tag which does the same, WHOIS Opt out so people cannot see your business or home address when searching your domain details, and finally display or print an invoice for VAT or other reasons. The basic hosting package is very basic however, I don't think they even offer PHP unlike say freeola.com and expect no fancy features like a database to setup a forum. It's main purpose of use, and best pricing is the domain registration, top notch and five stars for this service.
